Online shopping is always booming in the lead up to Christmas. Royal Mail wanted to remind retailers of this timely export opportunity. Global coverage and International Tracked services give worldwide shoppers the reassurance that UK orders are on their way.
The creative
Our ‘Hello world’ digital campaign opened the door to grow festive sales. ‘Hello’ is a simple, translatable, engaging way to greet new customers, from Sydney to Sligo, Houston to Kyoto. Eye-catching digital animated banners linked though to a landing page, which highlighted how to send parcels ahead of last posting dates and championed their new Parcel Collect doorstep service. We also created case study videos, such as the one featured here for Spice Kitchen, and social edits to allow customers to share the service benefits in their own words.
The results
Royal Mail believe the campaign contributed to parcel revenue growth of 55%, which was above target for the festive period. The social and digital channel activity served 19.7m impressions, and between 2 Nov and 16 Dec saw over 70,000 conversions.
